In recent years, Powder Metallurgy (PM) applying in automobile and machinery manufacturing industry has rapidly developed. Judging from the global applications of PM, automobile sector has the biggest sales market. However, the existing products of PM in China lag far behind those of developed countries. In Europe, the average usage of PM’s products in per car is 14KG and 20KG in America while the average usage in China is 6KG. As a result, the usage in our country has room to growth. Besides, with the implementation of “energy-saving, consumption and emission reduction”, automotive safety and environmental protection, as well as future development trend——research of clean vehicles, the products of PM are facing with new challenges and opportunities.
